Hard 400 450 550 500 600 Wear Resistant Steel From Swedish Steel Plate

Wear-Resistant Steel Plate is produced from processes of hot rolling, cutting into length, and heat treating. The products are characterized by small thickness, good flatness, outstanding wear resistance, excellent toughness, good weldability, good machinability, consistent properties, and quality.

Abrasion Resistant Metal

Abrasion resistant metal is significantly harder and more wear-resistant than ordinary mild steel, but this also makes it more challenging to process. It requires specialized cutting methods such as plasma, laser, or waterjet, and controlled welding and forming techniques.

Abrasion Plate

Abrasion plate is available in a wide range of specifications, typically from 3 mm to over 100 mm in thickness, with standard widths from 1000 mm to 2000 mm and lengths up to 8000 mm or more. It can also be fully customized according to engineering requirements.

Wear Resistance Steel Plate

In wear resistant steel plates, hardness is the primary factor that determines wear resistance. Higher hardness generally improves resistance to abrasion and surface damage. However, wear performance also depends on toughness, microstructure, and working conditions.

Abrasion Resistant Steel Grades

Abrasion resistant steel grades are classified mainly by hardness level and application requirements. AR and NM series are the most common systems, covering a wide range from medium hardness (AR400/NM400) to ultra-high hardness (AR550/NM550 and above). In addition, chromium carbide overlay plates provide extreme surface wear resistance for the harshest conditions.

Best Wear Resistant Steel

The best wear resistant steel must combine high hardness, stable composition, and reliable heat treatment performance. Teda Ganghua focuses on supplying only high-quality wear resistant steel materials, including AR and NM series, with strict quality control and professional export standards.

Abrasion Resistant Stainless Steel

Abrasion resistant steel provides significantly higher wear resistance than standard stainless steel due to its high hardness and quenched microstructure. However, stainless steel offers superior corrosion resistance and is preferred in environments where chemical or moisture protection is critical.

High Wear Resistance Steel

High wear resistance steel includes several major categories such as AR steel, NM steel, high manganese steel, chromium carbide overlay plates, alloy quenched steels, and martensitic steels. Each material is designed for different wear mechanisms, including sliding abrasion, impact loading, and extreme surface erosion.

Abrasion Resistant Plate

Abrasion resistant plate is a quenched and tempered steel designed for high hardness and stable wear resistance, making it ideal for industrial abrasion environments. Compared with high manganese steel, it provides immediate and predictable hardness, while high manganese steel relies on impact-induced work hardening for performance.

Ar400 Wear Plate

AR400 wear plate and NM400 wear plate are both medium-hardness abrasion resistant steels with similar performance levels. AR400 follows international AR classification, while NM400 follows Chinese GB standards. Both offer good wear resistance, toughness, and fabrication performance, making them widely used in mining and industrial equipment.

Ar450 Steel Plate

AR450 steel plate is a widely used wear-resistant steel offering a balanced combination of hardness and toughness, making it suitable for general industrial wear applications. Compared with AR550, AR450 is easier to process and more versatile, while AR550 provides significantly higher hardness and wear resistance for extreme conditions.

Ar500 Wear Plate

AR500 wear plate is a high-hardness abrasion resistant steel designed for extreme wear conditions. With a hardness range of approximately 470–540 HBW, it provides the highest wear resistance among common AR steels. Compared with AR450, AR500 offers significantly better abrasion resistance but reduced toughness and more challenging fabrication. It is best suited for heavy mining, cement, and bulk material handling systems where wear is severe.
