2. Aluminum-Coated Pipes

Manufacturing: Steel is coated with aluminum by hot-dipping, spraying, or electroplating, which forms a physical layer rather than a metallurgical bond.

Durability: Good corrosion resistance in moderate environments, but coating may wear or peel under high heat.

Typical Applications:

Pros: Cost-effective, easier to manufacture

Cons: Less heat-resistant, coating may degrade under prolonged high-temperature exposure

3. Which is More Common?

For high-temperature applications such as automotive exhausts or industrial chimneys, aluminum diffusion pipes are more common due to their durability and heat resistance.

For moderate-temperature or low-corrosion applications, aluminum-coated pipes are often used because they are cheaper and easier to produce.
