Abrasion resistant steel grades are designed to resist surface wear caused by abrasion, impact, and sliding friction in heavy industrial environments. These grades are mainly classified by hardness level (HBW) and are widely used in mining, construction, cement, steel plants, and bulk material handling systems.
Different grading systems exist globally, including NM series (China) and AR series (international standard equivalent), along with some high-hardness extended grades.
