Pre rusted steel refers to weathering steel (commonly known as Corten steel) that has been intentionally processed or naturally weathered to form a stable rust layer on the surface before use. This controlled “pre-rusting” process creates a uniform oxide coating that gives the steel its distinctive decorative appearance while improving long-term outdoor durability.
