SS checkered sheet 201 304 316L
Common materials for stainless steel checkered anti-skid plates include 201, 304, and 316L. Although they belong to the same stainless steel series, they differ in chemical composition, corrosion resistance, and applicable environment. Proper material selection can significantly improve service life and cost performance.
201 stainless steel is a manganese-based stainless steel with a low nickel content, so the cost is relatively low. It has certain strength and wear resistance, but weak corrosion resistance, especially in humid, salt spray, or acidic environments. It is easy to rust. 201 is suitable for dry, non-corrosive indoor floors or decorative occasions, such as indoor stair treads, elevator interiors, etc.
SS 304 sheet is the most widely used austenitic stainless steel, containing an appropriate amount of nickel and chromium elements, which gives it good corrosion resistance and mechanical properties. 304 stainless steel checkered plates are suitable for most industrial and civil environments, such as outdoor platforms, stairs, factory workshop floors, etc., and can cope with general rain, moisture and mild corrosives.
316L stainless steel adds molybdenum to 304 and reduces the carbon content, making it more resistant to pitting and chloride corrosion. It is particularly suitable for long-term exposure to marine climate and chemical corrosion environments, such as coastal docks, chemical plants, ship decks, etc. The "L" stands for low carbon, which can effectively prevent intergranular corrosion during welding.
ANALYSIS OF MATERIAL ADVANTAGES:
The advantage of 201 stainless steel checkered plate is its high cost performance, low raw material cost, good strength, and is suitable for indoor environments with limited budgets and low corrosion resistance requirements. Its good processing performance makes it widely used in decorative projects and general anti-slip floors.
Checkered SS 304 sheet is the most widely used model at present, with excellent corrosion resistance, processing and weldability. Its stable performance in humid and ordinary industrial environments makes it an ideal choice for places such as stair treads, workshop platforms, and passage floors, combining beauty and practicality.
316L stainless steel checkered plate has better salt spray and chloride corrosion resistance. After adding molybdenum, its pitting resistance is significantly enhanced. At the same time, its low-carbon design can effectively avoid corrosion problems after welding. It is very suitable for high-corrosion environments such as seaside, docks, and chemical plants, providing longer service life and reliability.
Reasonable selection of materials according to the use environment can give full play to the advantages of each stainless steel.

COMMON GRADE
SS201, 202, 304/304L, 309S, 310S, 316/316L, 316Ti, 409L, 410S, 430, 446 etc.
Type 304, for most environments, is sufficient to prevent corrosion.
Type 316 should be used near the seacoast.
Low carbon grades (304L / 316L) should be used when parts are to be welded.
For extreme locations, e.g., near chemical plants or where steel may come into contact with salt water spray, different alloys will be required, subject to application review.
APPLICATION
SS checkered sheet 201 304 316L: 201 is low-priced and suitable for light-load decoration; 304 takes into account both performance and cost and is the first choice for most projects; and 316L is used in high-corrosion risk scenarios. Choosing the right material is not only related to project safety, but also directly affects service life and maintenance costs. Welcome to contact us for material samples and technical support.
